ISUZU Trucks may be Japanese by engineering, but they’re proudly assembled in South Africa and built tough for our roads and realities. Playing on how Sesotho and Japanese sound alike, we created “seSotho ke seJapan,” a radio campaign that mashed anime drama with Sesotho flair. The ads dropped listeners into epic, over-the-top battles where truck features like Electric Windows, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Reversing Cameras were revealed in anime-style showdowns. The result? A hilarious cultural remix that reminded everyone: ISUZU might be born in Japan, but it’s made for Mzansi.
