Description (View/Hide)
The Autumn 2025 issue of Taalgenoot, the ATKV's quarterly magazine, celebrates a season of change, introspection, and new perspectives. On the cover shines the remarkable musician, theatre maker, and voice artist, Frieda van den Heever. Known as the presenter of Vers en Klank and Kortom on RSG, she shares stories about seasons of longing, hope, love, and life. Art is abundant, with explorations of the work of Henk Serfontein, Michele Silk, and Diek Grobler, as well as the perception-challenging Museum of Illusions. We pay an online visit to the writer Marion Erskine in his home in Nantes, a small city in France. Is it time to make schools cellphone-free zones? TG takes a look at how schools that have banned phones are managing. We also explore various online resources in Afrikaans. The rise of young Afrikaans talent paving a bright future for the arts also comes under the spotlight. We drop in at a unique project in Cape Town that seeks to help homeless people get back on their feet, meet a contemporary Bollie, hang out with the boundary-pushing duo Droomsindroom, and share ATKV news.
