The kykNET Silwerskerm Festival is the world's premier Afrikaans film festival, where new work from established and up and coming film talent is shown to local and international audiences for the first time. To open the festival, we were asked to produce a welcome reel to be played on the night of the Festival's first premiere. The work started more than a year ago, with a script sent to all the productions creating short films, short documentaries and feature films for the festival. The idea was to have each production present a few lines from the script to create one seamless message: we are all here because of The Moment and The Story.
