Hey! Dingo

Description (View/Hide)
In the creation of Hey! Dingo, I took inspiration from experiences I have been through growing up to visualise a story that children can enjoy with fun characters and colourful illustrations with a lesson worth learning when growing up themselves. This story follows the journey of Dingo, a kind and helpful Brachiosaurus. It has been translated into isiZulu to bring the heartwarming tale to an even wider audience. At its heart, the tale is about kindness, the value of true friendship, and the joy of exploring new places.

My aim is to encourage children to reflect on how they treat others and how they wish to be treated in return, a big lesson made simple. With bright visuals and easy-to-read words, each page supports young readers in staying focused and following along. Featuring playful dinosaurs and a whimsical forest full of wonders, children are invited to explore, dream, think, and learn.

Sometimes, all it takes is a dinosaur in a forest to teach us how to be a better friend and remind us that even the wildest adventures begin with a little kindness.
