Inspired by the nearby wetlands, the "Birding with Books" concept draws a parallel between spotting local South African birds and discovering the ideal next read, thoughtfully pairing native species with specific literary genres across the space and visual identity. To capture the tactile, physical essence of the library, the branding features handcrafted linocut illustrations alongside a genuinely multilingual logo that integrates isiXhosa, Afrikaans, and English, seamlessly weaving this unified trilingual approach throughout the library's visual communication, library cards, and wayfinding system.
