Description (View/Hide)
EA LOMA is a campaign that celebrates the language, humour and resilience of Pretoria's street culture by placing Spitori at the centre of the conversation. While Spitori is one of the city's most vibrant and expressive languages, it remains largely absent from mainstream advertising, leaving many young South Africans without seeing their identity or everyday experiences reflected in the brands they engage with.

The insight is simple. The brands people remember are not those that try to appeal to everyone, but those with a distinct point of view. Like Stoney's unmistakable burn, Spitori has a boldness, authenticity and edge that cannot be imitated. It is direct, energetic and unapologetically real. That shared character creates a natural partnership between the brand and the language.

EA LOMA transforms Stoney from a beverage into a cultural platform by celebrating Spitori as more than slang. It positions the language as something worth recognising, preserving and sharing. Authentic Spitori phrases, stories and expressions are woven throughout the campaign, allowing the language itself to become the hero. Every touchpoint invites audiences to experience the wit, confidence and spirit of Pretoria's hustlers while showcasing the richness of a language that has long existed outside the spotlight.

Rather than simply speaking to consumers, the campaign speaks their language. It gives a voice to a community that is often overlooked and demonstrates that local languages have the power to build stronger, more meaningful connections between brands and people. EA LOMA challenges conventional advertising by embracing cultural specificity instead of generic messaging, proving that authenticity creates a stronger emotional impact than broad appeal.

By celebrating Spitori through the unmistakable personality of Stoney, EA LOMA elevates a street language into a cultural asset. The campaign resonates with Pretoria's youth while inviting South Africans everywhere to discover the language behind the hustle. In doing so, it demonstrates that the boldest and most memorable stories are often the ones closest to home.
