Nobody wants the front seat. Every South African commuter know why: the front seat comes with a job. Collect fares. Calculate change. Manage passengers.
Hustle Decoder is a free platform that translates informal work experience into CV-ready language. On the radio, the front seat became its voice: battle-hardened, heard every excuse and reframed the job anyway. Counting fares became financial administration. Managing passengers became conflict management.
The idea ran across a 60-second hero, 30-second throw-forwards, and 10-second billboards, then into a real employability conversation on YFM's Ready, Set, Hired with Noni Khumalo.
We didn't tell young South Africans to go and get experience. We helped them recognise the experience they already had.
