Nothing opens our hearts (and wallets) faster, than a child in need.
That’s not speculation. It’s statistically proven.
We are wired to respond to innocence. To joy. But what if it never left?
For the residents at Alta du Toit – a home for adults with intellectual disabilities – it never will.
Because an intellectual disability doesn’t just delay development.
It freezes the mind in time. Their bodies age. But their spirit stays young. Open.
Forever young – in the truest sense.
When tasked to come up with a campaign to help raise funds, we held up a mirror.
To Anneke, Charlotte, Emile, Danny and Elise – adults who call Alta du Toit home. They weren’t posed or prompted, but captured mid-laughter, mid-moment, mid-magic.
We turned these unfiltered moments of joy into 5 print executions that blurred the lines between childhood and adulthood, to remind people that joy doesn’t age and wonder doesn’t expire.
We didn’t ask people to stop protecting children.
We asked them to see the same magic in those who never grew out of it and to care for them, just as instinctively.
Because being forever young should mean being forever cared for.
Within a couple weeks of our campaign launching, we raised just under a million rand in donor pledges.
