Nandi’s Way Home tells the story developed from the proverb of “Think Before You Act”. Nandi, a young South African school girl who takes a shortcut through nearby a forest on her way home after school. However, she didn’t think her decision through.

She is not familiar with the forest and gets lost on her way home. Lost and afraid, she is watched by an owl in the trees, who eventually helps her find her way back. At home, her granny reminds her of the map she had, but forgot to use. Nandi learns from her mistake, and the next day, she plans ahead, uses her map, and gets home safely.
